Ukrainian Navy degaussing ship U-811 BALTA has encountered trouble in the Black Sea, south of Odessa Port, near Snake, according to FleetMon.
It stated: “Ukrainian Navy degaussing ship U-811 BALTA ran into trouble in the morning Oct 13 in the Black sea south of Odessa Port, near Snake (Zmeiniy) Island, in rough weather.
“Two ship’s compartments were flooded; she was brought to anchor off Snake Island, and assisted by SAR ships and tugs. It was reported by 2000 UTC, that the situation is under control, the ship is stabilized.
“Ukrainian Navy degaussing ship U-811 BALTA, displacement 2096, length 69 meters, complements 45, armaments 2 machine guns, built 1987.”
