A Filipino crew member of bulk carrier SASEBO ECO died in a working accident in the engine room, according to FleetMon.

It stated: “57-year-old seaman was crushed to death by a steel plate. The ship contacted Indonesian authorities and was allowed to call Banda Aceh anchorage, to disembark the body.

“Bulk carrier entered Banda Aceh water at around noon May 12, left some four hours later, and resumed voyage from China to Ennore India.”
