By Our Correspondent

Eregli port accidents brought by strong storm on November 19, 2023 include also a collision between general cargo ships FALCONA and ENKO HASLAMAN in Eregli harbour, according to FleetMon.

It stated: “Understood the two ships drifted into each other, being unable to maneuver to avoid collision, and probably, leave port area becoming too dangerous for ships due to strong wind.

“ENKO HASLAMAN probably, sustained more or less serious damages, because there was a rather panicked message from the ship after collision, stating that “we are sinking”.

“As of morning Nov 19, both ships didn’t sink and remain in inner harbor, anchored, so accident it seems, didn’t lead to heavy damages. ENKO HASLAMAN arrived at Eregli from Aliaga, FALCONA arrived from Burgas.”
