MARITIME ACCIDENT: General cargo ship NEW WAY suffers engine failure in Istanbul

General cargo ship NEW WAY has suffered an engine failure in Marmara sea off Zeytinburnu, Istanbul, according to FleetMon.

It stated: “General cargo ship NEW WAY suffered engine failure after transiting Bosphorus early in the morning Feb 26, sailing already in Marmara sea off Zeytinburnu, Istanbul.”

It added: “The ship was towed to Ahirkapi anchorage and anchored, at 0420 UTC Feb 26 remained at anchor. She’s en route from Azov Russia to Tekirdag Turkey, Marmara sea.”
