Container ship XIN YUAN LONG 6 collided with the sand carrier (no details) on the morning of July 17, 2023, shortly after leaving Ningbo in China.

According to FleetMon, “Sand carrier sank. XIN YUAN LONG 6 suffered hull breaches or breaches, developed a heavy portside list and capsized, with at least 40 containers falling into the water.
