How MSC container ship runs aground in Livorno
Container ship MSC ANIELLO has run aground at Livorno entrance while entering the port on arrival from Genoa, at around 0800 UTC Feb 6, 2021, according to FleetMon.
It stated: “For a reason yet unknown, the ship strayed off the fairway and headed straight for breakwater near the lighthouse.”
It also added: “The ship was refloated less than an hour later with the assistance of 3 tugs, taken to port, and berthed. No information yet on probable damages.”
