How Albanian freighter runs aground in Lefkada, Greece

General cargo ship VELA I ran aground, or probably, drifted aground, in Lefkada Bay, Lefkada Island, Ionian sea, Greece, in the morning Jan 25, 2021, according to FleetMon.

It stated: “The ship loaded with stone was en route from Itea, Gulf of Corinth, to Malta. For reasons unknown, she diverted to Lefkada, maybe to wait out weather, or fix a problem, and it seems, later drifted aground.”
