FG names Pre-shipment inspection, monitoring agents for non-oil exports
The Federal Government has named three Pre-shipment Inspection Agents and two Monitoring and Evaluation Agents to manage Pre-shipment Inspection operations in non-oil Exports.
In a circular released in Abuja, the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, directed all authorised dealers, Nigeria Custom Service, Nigerian Export Promotion Council, Nigeria Ports Authority and the General Public to comply.
Specifically, the circular signed by Director, Trade and Exchange Department, CBN, Dr. Ozoemena Nnaji, stated: “This is to inform all Authorized Dealers, operators in the non-oil exports sector and the general public, that the Federal Government has, effective from January 15, 2021, made the following appointment with respect to Pre-shipment Inspection operations in Non-oil Exports.
“Pre-shipment Inspection Agent (PIAs) are Anglia International Services Limited to cover North West and North Central, Neroli Technologies Limited to cover South West and South-South, and Gojopal Nigeria Limited to cover South East and North East.”
It added: “In addition, the Federal Government has appointed Monitoring Agents to oversee the activities of the PIAs in the zones as shown below: The monitoring and evaluation agents are Foops Integrated Services Limited to cover North East, North West & North Central , Ace Global Depository Nigeria Limited to cover South East, South West & South-South. All Authorised Dealers, operators in the non-oil export sector and members of the general public are to note and ensure compliance.”
