Ferry aground, some passengers and crew still on board in Philippines

Deck cargo ship MANOLING 2 with 53 passengers and 25 crew ran aground near Danao City, Cebu, Philippines, in the evening Jan 11, and as of afternoon Jan 12 was still aground, according to FleetMon.

It stated: “At least 26 passengers and all crew by that time, were still on board, evacuation to be continued depending on weather conditions. The ship reportedly, and all those who’re still on board, are said to be in no danger.”
