A Bulk carrier ARKLOW SPRAY has run aground in the Parana river offshore Ramallo, Argentina, according to FleetMon.

It stated: “Bulk carrier ARKLOW SPRAY ran aground in Parana river off Ramallo, Argentina, at 0640 LT (UTC -3), while sailing downstream en route from Arroyo Seco to Abidjan Ivory Coast, understood in load.

“According to Alpemar report and track, the ship managed to refloat by own means some 2 hours after grounding, but shortly after ran aground again, this time blocking the main channel. The ship remained in the same position as of 1850 LT May 5, tug seen nearby.”
