Indonesian purse seiner SETIA ABADI 2 has caught fire in the Indian Ocean, according to FleetMon.

It stated: “Indonesian purse seiner SETIA ABADI 2 caught fire on Sep 8 in Indian ocean some 400 nm off Sumatra, Indonesia. Luckily for most of 39 crew of SETIA ABADI 2, Norwegian general cargo ship PELICANA (IMO 9401790) was sailing nearby, and immediately responded to distress alert.
“PELICANA rescued 35 fishermen, 4 unfortunately, went missing. PELICANA interrupted voyage and approached Sumatra, rescued people were transferred to shore, PELICANA meanwhile, resumed her voyage from Panjang southern Sumatra to Suez.”
