CORSICA LINEA ferry contacted bottom, breached hull, water ingress in Bastia, France

Ferry PAGLIA ORBA serving Bastia Corsica – Marseille line, France, contacted bottom while entering Bastia port in the morning Jan 25, sustaining at least two hull breaches with ensuing water ingress, according to FleetMon.

It stated: “Fire engines pumps and divers were deployed to take water ingress under control. Ferry is taken off service, she’ll have to undergo dry dock repairs. Water pumping and divers underwater works continued during Jan 26, 2020.”
