PROTEST: Security agents arrest Sowore, other activists in Abuja

The police have arrested the publisher of Saharareporters and human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore, and other activists in Abuja.

An eye witness said they were arrested by the Rapid Response Squad while on a peaceful procession to mark the New Year.

However, the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP), said it would take legal/international action if Sowore & others are not released within 48 hours.
